Socials involving alcohol

Society and committee socials are not regulated by the Students’ Union, therefore your event organisers are expected to take full responsibility for the safety of these activities.

If you organise an event which involves alcohol, you must adhere to the Societies & Committees Alcohol Code of Practice.

Bar crawls are not encouraged by the Students’ Union due to their focus on excessive alcohol. However if you do organise a bar crawl or a large free-route social then you must submit an online bar crawl event plan and adhere to the risk assessment below:
